What the cost of a silent disco depends on
Number of headphones
The biggest factor: usually one headphone per guest who wants to dance. The cost per person drops as numbers grow.
Length of hire
Single event, weekend, week or longer: regular use has its own formulas.
Channels and transmitters
One, two or three channels, each with its own transmitter connected to a DJ or a playlist.
Headphone model
SX-809, SX-553 or SX-839: we recommend the model that best fits your kind of party.
Shipping and customs
The kit travels from our European warehouses by dedicated express logistics; shipping to South Africa and customs are quoted separately.
On-site assistance
For large or complex events we can send technicians for set-up and support on the night.
Three parties, three budgets
To give you an idea, this is how the price bands work out for typical South African occasions.
Garden 21st
About 40 guests, a DJ and a playlist on two channels: the up-to-50 band, €250–400 plus shipping and customs.
Wine farm wedding
Around 100 guests and two channels so every generation has its music: the up-to-100 band, €450–700 plus shipping and customs.
Year-end function
Some 400 staff and three DJs: the up-to-500 band, €1,700–2,000, with dedicated delivery and optional technical support.

The kit price covers everything

- Transmitters with XLR and RCA inputs, for mixer, DJ booth, laptop or phone
- Chargers and spare headphones
- Instructions and phone support
Every hire requires a security deposit, returned once the kit is back and checked. Options for several dates are on the hire formulas page.
Prices and quotes: the answers
Is the quote free?
Yes, free and with no obligation. You receive the quote with prices and, within 24 hours, a consultant calls you to finalise the kit.
Why are the prices in euros?
Because the kit is shipped from our European warehouses and quoted in euros. Shipping to South Africa and customs appear separately in the quote.
Why does the price per person drop with more headphones?
Transmitters, logistics and preparation weigh more on small kits. With more headphones, those costs are shared by more guests.
Is a deposit required?
Yes, every hire requires a security deposit, which we return once the kit is back and checked.
Do you offer prices for several events?
Yes: with the tailor-made formula, for projects of at least three planned events, we prepare a proposal optimised around your dates.
