Mbombela, still Nelspruit to many, is where flights land and road trips begin for the Kruger lodges. Out here the night belongs to the bush. Lodges and reserves ask guests to keep the noise down, and so do the estates around the city. With silent disco headphones your guests hear every track in full, while the wildlife and the neighbours hear only the crickets.

Silentsystem has been building wireless audio since 2012, from Rockin'1000 to fashion-week runways. The kit leaves our European warehouses with an express logistics service and reaches you one or two days before the party; your DJ or playlist plugs straight into the transmitter. New to the format? Where to host a silent disco in Mbombela and the Lowveld

Between the city, the citrus farms and the reserves, the Lowveld has a venue for every kind of party.

Safari and bush lodges

Lodges near Hazyview, Malelane and the Sabi Sand are made for small, special groups. A boma dinner can turn into a dance under the stars without a speaker disturbing the animals or the guests in the next chalet.

Farm and garden venues

Wedding venues among the macadamia and citrus orchards around White River offer lawns, old trees and long summer evenings. Headphones keep the music close when the venue sits near family homes.

Hotels and conference venues

After a day of sessions in one of the city's hotels or conference centres, a function room becomes a three-channel dance floor in minutes.

Panorama Route guesthouses

Towards Sabie and Graskop, near God's Window and the Blyde River Canyon, guesthouses and mountain venues suit intimate celebrations where the view matters more than the volume.

Events

Silent party in Mbombela: which events

Weddings in the bush

Couples who marry at a game lodge often meet a quiet rule after dinner. A silent disco wedding lets the party carry on around the fire until late.

Year-end functions and incentives

Companies flying teams into Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for a lodge incentive can close it with a headphone party for the whole group.

Matric dances and 21sts

In school halls and family gardens across the Lowveld, three channels keep every taste on the dance floor at matric farewells and 21st birthdays.

How the kit reaches Mbombela

The kit travels from our European warehouses with a dedicated express service and arrives one or two days before your event: charged headphones, transmitters, chargers and a few spare headphones. For the Lowveld and the lodges, book well in advance: shipping times and customs paperwork are agreed when we quote. Headphone prices follow our indicative price table in euros; shipping and customs are quoted separately.

A security deposit is held for every rental and returned once the kit is back and checked.

Frequently asked questions

Silent disco Mbombela: FAQ

Can you deliver silent disco headphones to a Kruger lodge?

Yes, as long as the lodge can receive a courier delivery. The kit arrives one or two days before the event, and we agree the address and timing when we quote.

How much does a silent disco in Mbombela cost?

Indicatively €250–400 for up to 50 headphones and €850–1,000 for up to 200, per event. Shipping and customs come on top.

What if there is a power cut at the lodge?

The music keeps playing: the TX-330 transmitter has a built-in battery and each headphone runs up to 10 hours on its own charge.

Do you supply the DJ?

No. We rent headphones and transmitters only. Bring your own DJ or a playlist; the transmitter takes XLR and RCA inputs from a mixer, laptop or phone.

How far does the signal reach?

Up to 500 metres in open space, enough to cover a boma, a lawn and a lodge deck at the same time.

When should we book for December?

As early as possible. The festive season is the busiest time of year, and shipping to South Africa needs extra time for customs.
